Why does Fred Bobberts make things up about         Stratomatic  Football?

Why does Fred Bobberts lie when it comes to Stratomatic Football?

When asked why Dick James of the 1959 Redskins, who led the defense in interceptions isn't rated, his response was Eugene Cichowski who played in 1 single game was a better fit because he was bigger and DBs were bigger back in the day. Absurd comment isn't it? Instead of admitting his mistake he doubled down on being deceitful.

Fred asked me to work on the team specific interception returns. I welcomed this because of a flaw in the generic interception returns. Too many automatic TDs on flat passes. In 1977 it causes interception return TDs to be be slightly more than twice as high as actual. Anyone who follows the NFL fully understands how important those pick sixes are. After doing some teams I found out that flaw was still in the returns and said I didn't want to do them anymore.

Fred's response was "Why? You picked it up quick and you were good at it." I said because of the auto TDs it's a garbage product and I don't want my name associated with it. Integrity matters to some people.

Fast forward to recent times. I mentioned to someone on a Strat forum the problem. Fred said I didn't understand the returns. LMAO can you imagine the gall of him saying that? Not only did he compliment me on my knowledge of it when I did them, he doesn't think gamers and myself will understand that twice as many pic sixes is a bad thing. He made a silly chart explaining how Strat figures in interception returns and how I don't understand "something so complicated".

You know what matters and what everyone understands? Pick sixes are more than twice as high as actual. The team specific interceptions TD returns are slightly less than twice as high. They are still defective and gamers won't notice? Then he said "well 1977 is an outlier". Guess what 1975, 1976, and 1978 are also sky high and I haven't even checked other seasons.

The best part about 1978? Interceptions are low by almost 100 and int TDs are still sky high. You know what Fred said about this? It's a problem with the CMs. They can be changed to get more interceptions. lmao More proof he doesn't understand or play the game. They really cannot. A ton of double teaming and more pass calls which would drive up the avg per rush unrealistically. Gamers will notice and throw underneath. 1977 and 1979 which uses the same defensive computer managers will now have interception high by ~100 since currently they are real close to actual. He thinks gamers are stupid.

I contacted Strat and informed them the fumbles for 1985 are too high. They changed them to the modern version of fumbles. More fumbles on guessed right vs wrong and more fumbles with men in zone on the defensive card. Unfortunately now fumbles are too low. After adjusting for the slightly less runs in 1985 Strat replays, fumbles and lost fumbles are down too much ~140 and ~70. In Strat fumbles are recovered using a 50/50 model. It's based on lost fumbles. If a team lost 10 of 30 fumbles, they will be carded for 20 fumbles since they are expected too loose 10.

Guess what? Fred said I didn't understand the problem. I understood it when they were too high but didn't understand it now that they are too low. Fred said since there are slightly more pass calls the increase in interceptions offsets the decrease in lost fumbles. Typical Fred to say things without doing research. Guess what, after adjusting to the slightly higher passes, interceptions are off by .2 per season based on 7 replays. it's not an honest mistake.

Fred had a good legacy going. Making past seasons, and around versions 10 and 11 he added a ton of players which gamers love. Probably the best thing to happen to the game besides the version 3 passing rules. He's ruined that legacy by constantly lying. He shouldn't be trusted when it comes to Statomatic Football.
